Albumin
Reads: Blood protein status
You want enough of it arriving. Fatty acids do not dissolve in blood; they travel bound. When carrier supply was varied in perfused tissue while release was held constant, NET output still changed — proof that carriage, not the enzymes, can be the limiting step. The reciprocal is measured too: scavenging fatty acids away from the cell with extra carrier prevents the feedback inhibition that free fatty acids otherwise exert on their own release. Carry them off and the brake never engages.
What this marker reads
The blood protein that carries released fat away — without it, fat cannot leave the tissue.
What a named body publishes
Each line below is the sentence the issuing body wrote, carried with its own identifier. Nothing here interprets your result — it states what was published, for whom, and by whom.

“Serum albumin, ages 18-39: 36-48 g/L, from the Nordic Reference Interval Project; the published table carries no sex stratification for albumin.” 18-39

Your laboratory reads your result against its own assay, and this page does not do that for it. What is above is what a named body published and for whom; the machinery this marker reads is set out on its pathway page, and the formulas witnessed on it are below.
The machinery behind it
What raises this marker and what it goes on to move — each edge carried with its own study — is set out in full on its pathway page: Blood protein status →
Formulas that modulate it
Each formula page names this pathway and carries the study behind its claim.
